Your Email List & Guest Posts
If you’re into content creation and building up a community with your website, then you’re definitely into list building. Growing your email list is one of your main objectives. If you’re not growing your email list and you have no one to pitch anything too. Your email list is essentially how you build your traffic and build your revenue. This is a no-brainer to most bloggers, but there are many different ways of building your list. One of them many people don’t think about, or they haven’t considered. The method that I’m talking about is Writing for others. Guest posting is a great way to build your list. Many people don’t think that writing articles for other websites can help you build your list, but it’s one method that many people use successfully.
The reason that this works so well is because you essentially are pitching to people that are in your market. If they find what you say to be interesting, they will consider you as a good resource. Usually they’ll check out your author bio at the bottom of the guest post, and if you have a link going back to your site they’ll click it and explore what else you have to say.
Target by Relevance
One thing to keep in mind when you’re looking for websites to put your guest post on, is to make sure that the site is relevant to what you write about. If the site is closely related to what you write about on your own site, then it’s a great way for you to grow your email list.
Use an Optimized Landing Page
Another thing to keep in mind is that you need to put a guest post on someone else’s website and if they allow for a back link to your site make sure that link goes to a highly optimized landing page. A highly optimized landing page will show new visitors all the benefits and great features of being a member or subscriber to your website. This makes it much more likely for new visitors to sign up for your newsletter. This has worked great in the past and I’ve gotten a majority of my subscribers from guest posts. When you post on other sites in your industry, those people are already interested in similar topics. They are also interested in what you have to say. They’re much more likely to add a new resource of great information to their own list of things that they subscribe to. If you try to put a guest post on something it’s not related to what you know about, the results are less likely to be positive.
Build your Email List Benefits from Paid Guest Posting
Guest posting, when you can find good sites to do it on, enables you to drive more traffic back to your own website and gain you quality subscribers. There is no real downside to guest posting. I actually write on a few websites that pay me for articles. In my author bio, they allow me to link back to my own website. This is a win win win situation. You can’t get a better situation then a paid article that lets you have an author bio at the bottom. This means you get paid for the article, you get a link back to your website, And you get more possible subscribers. This is the absolute best way to build your business.
