Build Your Email List With This Tip
As a blogger or website owner, your email list is your bread and butter. Building an email list is one of the most essential aspects of growing your business and your website traffic. Your email list tells people when you have created a new post. This brings people that are interested in your content back to your website. They may not remember to check your website on a daily or weekly basis. However with your email list you can send them a weekly update with all of your new posts. This is incredibly handy for generating return visitors because it is used as a reminder for people to come back to your site and you content that they were interested in.
One way to build your email list is to have an opt in form on your website. This isn’t anything new and this is it really did want of my article. You know that you should have an opt in form on your website where people can subscribe to your list. However there are creative ways of doing this that many people don’t think of. One of those ideas is what I’m going to talk about today. If you are getting a lot of comments on your blog then it may be a good idea to use an integrated opt in form that works with your commenting system. Plug-ins like this one, which is what I use make it so that when people enter their email address to comment on your website there is a checkbox at the bottom which allows them to opt in to your newsletter or mailing address. This makes it easy for people to sign up and they are much more likely to leave that box checked then if you just had a subscriber form in the sidebar of your website.
The reason why this method works so well is because you’re combining two actions at once. It is much easier to fill out your email address one time while you’re in the process of making a comment on the website and it is to actually fill out two forms. People are much more likely to opt into your mailing list if the feature is already built into what they are doing. This may be a negative comment but it’s true; People are inherently lazy. They want to do things with as little work as possible. People are much less likely to do something if it causes them more work than if you just combine it into an all-in-one action.
Build Your Email List With your Comment Form
Adding an opt in box in your comment section is an incredible way to build your mailing list. It makes it easy for people who are interested in your content enough to comment on your website to subscribe to your mailing list. This is essential for anyone that is trying to grow their business. There really is no downside because it’s easy to do, it’s unobtrusive and it makes it easy on your visitors. It’s a win-win situation all the way around.
